The TALNT Network
TALNT is a Base AppChain developed by the Decentralized Pictures Foundation. Our mission is to discover, curate, promote, and support artists worldwide by leveraging blockchain technology to create a fair and efficient ecosystem for creative talent.
The network serves as the foundation for applications that streamline the process of identifying and supporting promising artists across various disciplines, focusing initially on film and visual arts.
History and Evolution
The journey of TALNT began with T4L3NTnet, an independent Layer 1 blockchain built by the Decentralized Pictures team using Tezos technology. Launched in beta on December 15, 2021, with mainnet following on April 20, 2022, it was designed specifically for the arts and culture sector.
As the blockchain landscape evolved, we recognized opportunities that could be better realized by transitioning to a Base AppChain, including improved scalability, enhanced security, better interoperability with Ethereum ecosystems, and the ability to focus more resources on application development rather than chain maintenance.
The first DCP app for film financing was launched on May 20, 2022, marking the beginning of practical applications for the platform. This strategic evolution to Base allows us to maintain our specialized focus on arts and culture while gaining the advantages of a more established ecosystem.

The TALNT token serves as both gas for transactions on the network and as utility within the ecosystem's applications. The token follows the standard ERC-20 format with 18 decimals.
TALNT Net is built on op-enclave, using AWS Nitro Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology. This architecture allows users to verify the code running on the AppChain, establishing a high level of trust through cryptographic guarantees.
The combination of the AWS Nitro TEE and settlement to Base mainnet creates a unique trust model that blends the security properties of verifiable code execution with the settlement guarantees of Base. This approach offers different trust assumptions compared to traditional decentralization, providing both transparency and security.

TALNT Net is an AppChain specifically designed to underpin the Decentralized Pictures platform. The applications built on TALNT focus on film financing and artist support, creating mechanisms to:
